Recipes
When we were starting to navigate the world of solids with our minis it was overwhelming.
We sourced recipe ideas that sat behind payment gateways without realising there are so many free resources available of either the same recipes or close variations of the paid version.
Our goal is to create a community where we share recipes and resources that have guided us on our solids journey and make meal time a touch easier for you, without coming at a cost.
Here you’ll find some of our minis, and in most cases, families favourite recipes.
The page will continue to evolve as we add more recipes, we will notify our followers on social media when new recipes have been added.
For more meal ideas outside of what’s listed on this page see our Pinterest account. There you’ll find pinned meal and snack ideas for minis, as well as whole of family friendly meals that don’t come at a cost.
If you have any recipe suggestions that you’d like to share with our community please send them to info@frankieandmini.com.au or tag us on social media.
Please note we are not dieticians. We are two mums navigating parenthood together and sharing what has worked for us, to make parenting a little easier for you.
Raspberry & Coconut Bliss Balls
Yum! Add these to your snack repertoire as they are absolutely delicious and so easy to whip up. Guaranteed to please mini tummies, they are sweetened by the dates and maple syrup and great to be served on their own or accompanying other snacks.
We refrigerate our in an airtight container for up to three days or freeze for a month (if they last that long), taking a serve out and placing it in the fridge to defrost the day you are planning to give them to your mini.
Fussy Mini Breakfast Smoothy
When our minis hit a fussy food stage it felt like every second day breakfast was being refused. We found this smoothy to be a hit and with the oats, banana and chia seeds it made us a little more comfortable them starting the day with a smoothy as they would at least have something in their tummy to get them through to morning tea. We generally make extra so we can enjoy a smoothy with them too!
Our recipe lists oat milk however you can use whatever milk you have in the house/normally use.
Oat Banana Bread
We honestly can't believe this banana bread doesn't contain any refined sugar yet it still tastes sweet! When making this recipe, the more overripe your bananas are, the sweeter your banana bread will taste.
We've made many variations of this recipe, mixing frozen raspberries, diced frozen strawberries and blueberries through the batter at the end before placing in the oven. With each variation as good as the original, we hope you like this as much as we do.
Banana & Raspberry Muffins
These banana and raspberry muffins are refined sugar free and a favourite of our minis, we have no doubt your mini will love them too.
